i have had some of the most whirlwind travel and i often joke that i need to sleep for like a week straight to get back on track. somehow my schedule gets even crazier, though? in any case, i've spent a good deal of time in denver for work. pros: their perspire saunas all have showers. cons: super long hours and the weather has been kind of crap. did go on a date that immediately made me rethink dating (i'm not in the right head space for it right now which is unfair to anyone desperate enough to go out with me, ha) and also how much i maybe love and/or miss california (still hate LAX). excited to learn more about denver.

as many of my friends know, i'm not a huge fan of kids on the whole (i do have moments where i love running around and acting like a kid but if i could pay extra for a kid-free restaurant or a kid-free plane then i absolutely would), however this spring really opened my eyes to how obsessed i am with my niece and nephew. spent a few long weekends home and adored every minute with them blowing bubbles or watching whatever weird shows kids watch these days and offering to be human furniture for them to lay/sit/play on. i also enjoyed fabulous weather (i miss the sun!) and got to see LAFC play (love you, bouanga!) hung out with a friend i really haven't seen in almost 20 years and imported way too much of my favorite childhood candy.

have i dared to let even a month go by without going to a show? maybe, but not this month. got together with my favorite concert people to see AWOLNATION (absolutely fantastic, i now have FOMO about past concerts i could have gone to but didn't) and snow patrol (didn't sound quite as good on video and i wish they played in a smaller venue but still great overall). i'm really amazed at how easy it has been to stay in touch with my friends that i go to concerts with, despite us all being pretty geographically dispersed. our group chat is easily one that i most look forward to reading, even when i miss 60+ texts. excited for more adventures with them this year.
